THE REASON FOR LIVING
         Psalm 92:12
So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

On days like these, in the last quarter of the year, I reflect deeply on my life and ask myself questions like: where am I coming from? Where am I going? What difference have I made in my generation? What does God think of me? How ready am I for eternity? How far am I from my goals, visions and aspirations in life? What do I need to do differently if I want to move to another level in life by this time next year? What do I need to do differently in order to become everything that God has designed for me to be? The Bible says in Proverbs 23:7 ‘For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he’.

The quality of a person’s life is determined by the quality of his thoughts and the limit of thought defines the limit of life; the deeper your though, the better your life. The world minds those who maximize their mind.           There are individuals that will speak and people will say, ‘Don’t mind them’.
God’s Servant Dr. Paul Enenche said - What we mind affects where we end. How true.
One of the challenges of our generation is the challenge of thoughtlessness (especially among us youths). People wake up in the morning and just proceed through life with meaningless routines of sleeping, bathing and eating without thinking of where they are going in life.

Thoughtlessness is the reason for aimlessness and the outcome is uselessness. The direction of thought determines the direction of life, hence, negative thoughts equals negative life and positive thoughts equals positive life. Therefore, it is a blank mind that is the reason for a blank life. When the heart is empty, life is also empty.

Assignment:
-          Reflect on the life you have lived so far
-          Take positive steps to move to the next level.

Prayer:
O Lord, help me to number my days so that I can apply my life unto the wisdom of fulfilling your purpose for creating me, in Jesus’ Name.
